Teaching

I have been teaching art for 20 years.  I teach different types of classes; small group classes that focus on different mediums and subject matters, portfolio prep classes to elementary and high school students, and creative coaching for artists at all stages of their creative journey.  I offer portfolio prep to students in grades 6-8 to help them prepare their visual art portfolios for the art program at Canterbury High School and I coach high school students who are preparing their art portfolios for college and university, including programs in Animation, Architecture, Design and Fine Art.

Portfolio Preparation Streams

A) Portfolio Preparation for Canterbury High School.

B) Portfolio Preparation for Post-Secondary Education in Animation, Architecture, Fine Art and Design

C) Personal Portfolio Development. This is a portfolio development program for student artists who are interested in working on their own art in an independent and self-directed way.  Unlike programs A) or B) there is no admission criteria or externally imposed deadline here.  There may be no external goal in mind – only an internal drive to gain confidence in a particular skill set or craft, further a concept and/or a desire to explore new media and subject matter in a freer and more open arena.
